The Security Interests in Movable Property Registry (SIMPR) is an electronic registry system for the
registration of security interests in movable property. Through the Registry website:
Clients may register, amend, continue and terminate security interests created on movable property (collateral) of debtors
by filing the relevant notices per the Security interests in Movable Property Act and thereby inform others that you have taken a
security interest (a pledge or a charge) in someone's (the debtor) movable property to secure their obligation to you
(usually an obligation to repay money).
Any person may search for existing notices of security interests on movable property of debtors registered with the Registry.
It must be noted that this is a notice registry only. That means that the registrar is not
responsible for verifying or guaranteeing the accuracy of any of the data entered in
security interest notices. When a certified search report is requested, the registrar is
only certifying that the information is on the registry, not that it is accurate / free of
defect. The registrar has no liability for incorrect / fraudulent information submitted
on the registry.
Where is the Registry?
The SIMPR registry is administered at the High Court of Justice, La Place Carenage,
